Peter William Sutcliffe is a British serial killer dubbed the "The Yorkshire Ripper”. His five-year reign of terror in the north of England came to an end on 22 May 1981, when he was convicted and sentenced for the murder of thirteen women, and for attacking seven others.

As his surviving victims struggled with their physical and emotional scars, the rest of the country celebrated. The Sutcliffe family sat in court stunned. It was incomprehensible to them that the man they knew and loved could have been responsible for the horrendous crimes which they had heard outlined over the past two weeks.

In 2016, Peter Sutcliffe continues to serve his twenty life-sentences in Broadmoor High-Security Psychiatric Hospital. Five years ago, the High Court dismissed his appeal and confirmed that he would serve the remainder of his whole-life tariff and that he would never be freed from his confinement.

However, more recently, rumours have started to circulate that the doctors inside Broadmoor are preparing to declare him cured of his schizophrenia and transferring him to a maximum-security prison. The second story circulating, perhaps by no coincidence, is that Sutcliffe is being investigated for a number of other murders committed in the 1970's, for which he was not initially suspected.

This was a quick easy read. I was disappointed that there was not more information about the victims. There were numerous errors in the book which is why I gave it only 3 stars.
Cut and Paste job do not waste your money on this piece of garbage. There are good books on Peter Sutcliffe "Deliver Us From Evil" David Yallop. "Somebody's Husband Somebody's Son" Gordon Burn. "Wicked Beyond Belief" Michael Bilton. "Yorkshire Ripper The Secret Murders" Chris Clark and Tim Tate.
once l started reading could not put it down till the end.And to think there are people out there that can do this.Pity it was not longer. thank you
